After a very hectic weekend, I think it's now time to set the scores right concerning Retail Pages and Groups on Facebook... Image from tiscomedia.co.za Dear readers, as some of you might have noticed, they has been much controversy about my last Blog post - which had to be deleted due to its containing wrong information about a certain party. Anyway, what's done it done and we will not look back. Truth is, all the weekend brought me much information from all sides concerning Retail Pages/Groups... Many of you have certainly joined X or Y Group which might be selling AVON products, home-made jewellery, customized items, clothes etc. and many of you have certainly noticed how group owners try their maximum to establish a strong bond with their group members -ultimately their clients. Indeed, there are numerous marketing strategies employed by these owners - some prefer bombarding pictures on the group wall; others simply have private conversations with their clients; while some others have much darker strategies : winning clients from where the grass is always greener - other groups! You heard me right! It has come to my knowledge that some owners actually send private messages to members of some other group, asking them to join them! Allow there is no law against messaging a completely random person, it does seem a little unethical to act this way. But then again, on second thought, it's totally legitimate to urge people to join one's group, irrespective of their 'belonging' to another group. I mean, one can be in X group while being in Y group at the same time and everybody's happy! But that's not what happens in real-life. Truth is, Y would accuse X of stealing clients, which is totally understandable yet, does, let's say, Orange say if Emtel launches a major promotional campaign targeting all mobile phone users ? Well, nothing much but try to offer better deals! And that's actually what the Facebook Retail world should look like - that's how competition grows, prices are reduced, deals are sweeter and clients happier. We all know that most consequent groups might be selling more or less the same (or similar) products at varying prices. We all know you, potential clients have the right to be in any group you wish to join. And we all know you are entitled to bargain! So, my advice - join any group you want to. Check out what's available and at what price; compare prices of this one item you oh-so-want and BAR-GAIN! You can definitely show your loyalty, let's say to X party, and set up a deal - for example, I'll buy with you but only if you match the price on that other group. Let's face it, it's a hard hard world and everybody wants to win! Everybody sure wants to win, but all I see are owners winning. Make your voice heard potential clients! You hold the money, so this makes you the powerful faction! The Facebook Retail is a harsh world, full of back-stabbings, of fake profiles, or 'borrowed' pictures, of items oh-so-much cheaper you could buy in eBay if you had time to look properly, full of mysterious friends who add you to keep an eye on your business, full of far-fetched stories of cost price, manufacturers, of extra-shipping costs, of delays and the list goes on... P.S. Don't get fooled by accomplished marketing strategists - make the call! It's all up to you! Do you have anecdotes to share? Feel free to do so by leaving comments - of course, let's refrain from using names, I hope you understand. Need some help finding the nicest groups - ask for it and a special TOP 3 Retail Review will be on its way! Feel like reading some more, go to Retail Pages- The review ! Sine Cera

The only interesting(promising) thing about this blog is K-Capture. Please, for blogging's sake, spare us with your so negative critiques and those long blablas. Keep it simple. You kind of talk too much just to mean one simple thing - readers will get tired of it all after some few lines. And find someone for your web design (just like you found models, roadstoppers, ect.)...a volunteer perhaps!
