Indeed, after the very 'excited' interview of one student airing on prime-time news, the school administration might be fearing bad public image... Property of hindugirlscollege.org When the results dawn on students, they ultimately let the stress out - through tears, shouts, jumps and what not! Well, when it comes to girls, particularly HGC girls, the limit hysterical attitude seemed to prime in the school gymnasium, at least, that's what we saw in the news! During today's morning assembly, the Rector made it pretty clear that "We do not use such type of language in this school!" while, obviously, referring to the "Mari Mari Kontan" scene! Rumor has it that the student was even interrupted during that interview and reprimanded on her speech style and while MBC could have simply interviewed any other girl, they still chose to broadcast it! Even more, that girl (no names please) is said to have been booed by her school 'friends' for her not "LET[ting] NOBLE THOUGHTS COME FROM ALL SIDES" as goes the school motto! Anyway, the Best School and Best Students' Council Award winning school and Best PTA nominee (2008) has nothing to fear as to this little 'slip of the tongue' - it happens! May you all have a academically fruitful year and do prepare a little speech just in case you girls eventually air again on prime-time News! This is just for you readers! Click Play! We clearly hear the vain effort to correct her by the school administration. Thanks to Mohith Aksh ReDevilzz for linking this. If you have something to say about this, lets face it, funny little episode, please share by commenting below!

Well, I have my word to say on that. It is completely natural to be so vibrant and expressive just after being given your result slip. In one moment, You are overwhelmed and relieved that your sacrifice, hardwork and perseverance has been given its due worth. So, I would prefer that we focus on the great work of HGC management, staff and students and encourage them to move forward and perform better :-) Long live the HGC, a school I personally admire for its administration capabilities and code of ethics :-) Im sure noble thoughts will continue to spread all over!

HGC's administration should not over exaggerate. It happens at times;School Certificate is basically the first achievement for Mauritian students so she might not have really control her joy.

Well, I'm glad you talked about the possible effect of Creole education, an issue i think still needs review. I talked about it on the 19th January blog post. LINK : http://kelvinsuddason.weebly.com/1/post/2012/01/creolebhojpuri-education-where-will-it-really-lead-to.html

That girl was clearly overwhelmed with emotions. Mistakes may happen during these moments. What's the use of making a whole story about it? I spotted a mistake in your article. Maybe i should also go on with 'Melvin tarnishes his school's reputation by making a a typing mistake go public!'.Dude...go get a life...

Aux futurs SC candidates, preparez un speech au prealable car étaler SPONTANEMENT votre joie crée des tensions. A kelvin, prepare ton speech pour le 6 la. :P :)

This is what i call blowing out of proportion! There was absolutely no need to create such a fuss..or to even point out this slight 'slip of the tongue' through this article.

Well, I was not pointing fingers at the school in particular but at the issue being discussed. Whatever else you refer to is simply my critical analysis of the situation. From what I heard, we ALL fear bad repute. HGC is no exception.P.S. Me talking about the 100% (which, matter of fact, I did on the HOME PAGE) would be simply stating the obvious without purpose. But thanks for reading!

The issue being discussed here is unfortunately DIRECTLY linked to the school. Your 'critical analysis' or should i say your 'so-called critical analysis' does in no way reflect an objective approach to the issue here, especially with the noticeable sarcasm emanating from it.

Haha! This is truly one of the best, if not THE best, comment I've ever had on the blog, all topics included! Well then, hats off indeed for this very intelligent comment. Thanks for the little pieces of support and don't get me wrong, i used the famous M word a lot, but, thing is, it wasn't really nice to hear on TV and many have said so. A Blog is meant to read. My job is done when we hit 30 comments. All of this is bonus! Stay tuned.
